GEMSO is proud to announce the successful opening of Ford GEMSO Hermosillo Agency
an event that brought together government leaders, business representatives,
and key figures from the industry. The presence of the Governor of the State of Sonora, Alfonso.
Durazo Montaño, and Lic. Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez, Municipal Mayor, among others.
Distinguished guests, emphasized the importance of this event.
GEMSO, with almost 90 years of business trajectory with diverse ventures such as
Mills, Automotive, Agro-Industry, and Financial, among others; It has more than 35 years of
experience in car distribution, began marketing the Ford brand in
Hermosillo in the year 1987.
The Presidium was composed of influential figures in various fields, including the
Doctor Alfonso Durazo Montaño, Governor of the State of Sonora, and Lic. Antonio
Astiazarán Gutiérrez, Municipal Mayor. Additionally, Dr. Gertie Maria Agraz, Director
General Manager of the Municipal Agency of Economic Development; Luz Elena del Castillo, CEO of
Ford Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean; Lic. Javier Gándara Magaña, President of the
Board of Directors of Autos de Hermosillo; Mr. José Ramón Fernández Aguilar,
President of the GEMSO Board of Directors and Jorge Alberto Raptis Chee, CEO
GEMSO. Additionally, there was attendance from collaborators of Ford Motor Co. and
GEMSO, who shared their enthusiasm for this new stage.
This inauguration marks a milestone due to its modern and innovative facilities
convencional. The renovation, reflected in an investment of 35 million pesos,
aligns with the highest standards and processes, positioning Ford GEMSO Hermosillo
in a prominent position on the national scene. Luz Elena del Castillo, CEO of Ford
México, Central America, and the Caribbean, said that this Agency is one of the pioneers in Mexico in
this new standard of service quality offered by the brand and ensures that it is
being developed here to be sent to the United States.
More than achieving a simple redefinition, this renovation aims to renew its
commitment to excellence in customer service, and more importantly, continue
building that special relationship that the Ford brand has with the people of Sonora,
reinforcing the commitment made to the economic development of the state.
Antonio Astiazarán, Municipal Mayor, acknowledged the contributions of the Group towards
Hermosillo society, not only with job generation but also with its commitment to
quality it offers and social responsibility activities. With this renovation
consolidates a business that sustains 250 direct jobs from the Ford GEMSO agency
Hermosillo and are part of the more than 1,500 direct jobs offered by the Group.
The new Ford GEMSO Hermosillo Agency represents a testament to the vision
shared vision of excellence and quality service from the Group, the Brand, and its collaborators.
